Message From Grand Canyon Chamber of Commerce

March 17, 2020

COVID-19 has changed every aspect of our daily lives.  Information and recommendations are changing hour by hour.  I have been on multiple conference calls and will provide updates via email and website as things are changing.

At this time the Grand Canyon Chamber & Visitor Center will remain open.  We will still assist Visitor's in planning their Grand Canyon Visits by providing tour information and passes - while maintaining appropriate Social distancing.

Summary NPS Incident Call March 17, 2020

Department of the Interior is leaving decisions of park operations to the local levels. Grand Canyon National Park has established an incident command structure to deal with the COVID-19 Pandemic. At this time the Park remains open.

Two additional Task Forces have formed to assist the incident - Matt Vandurza will be leading up the external task force which will be mitigating and manage decisions being made on our community. Katy Morris and Donna - will be leading up the internal task force which will be looking at NPS Operations and their decisional impacts on Park Partners.

Please email what your mitigation plans for COVID-19 are to Dana_Sullivan@nps.gov. They will be looking at all of our plans as a whole to assist with their decisions.
