The September Community Awareness meeting will be held on October 10th at 1pm (at Townhall).  The meeting will then return to its’ normal time the last Tuesday of the month at 1pm.

The Town of Tusayan is excited to announce that we have reserved participation in several travel shows this upcoming year.  These include:

Chicago – February 1-2, 2025
Phoenix – February 15-16, 2025
Los Angeles – February 22-23, 2025
Dallas – March 22-23, 2025
IPW – Chicago – June 14-18

Community Gathering
The Community Gathering will be on October 10th at the Sports Complex.  This year there will be a drone show with the regular event festivities.  Attached to this email is a flyer for the event.  Please encourage your friends and fellow employees to attend.

After School Program

Thursday after school the Town and School co-sponsor an after-school program at Townhall.  Students are welcome to ride the bus to Townhall, so long as they are picked up by a parent.  Walk-ins are also welcome.  The expected dates for this year are:

October 3, (10th will be combined with the Community Gathering), 24th
November 7th, 14th 21st
December 5, 12
 

Triad Internet
Triad internet will be discontinuing service to the Town at the end of the month.  CommNet Communications is in the process of negotiating a new contract for services with the Town.  While the contract is being finalized, CommNet is able to provide service to local residents.  Please contact them directly if you are in need of service.

Community Health Nurse
Community Health Nurse services are provided to residents of Tusayan and individuals who work in Tusayan through Pike Medical Services (see attached flyer).  Please contact them directly for services.  They will also begin holding open office hours at Townhall.  They will be at Townhall on September 26th at 1pm and October 3rd.  Please drop by with any health care concerns or questions.

Permits
During the flooding, the Town relaxed many of the local permitting requirements to accommodate local businesses in their recovery efforts.  The time has come to bring everyone back into compliance.  Please be sure to get the necessary permits for all pre-existing structures on your property.  Moving forward it is vital that you receive a signed permit prior to initiating any improvements on your property.

Cookout Site and Ramada
The Cookout site and Ramada are both available now for scheduling.  Please contact Town Manager Charlie Hendrix at tusayantownmanager@tusayan-az.gov  if you would like to reserve either of these venues for private events.
