News Release: Dragon Bravo Fire Update September 18

The Dragon Bravo Fire is currently 94% contained with 625 personnel assigned. Over the past week, crews have made significant progress on recovery efforts.

Along Forest Service Road (FS) 610, work continues north of the area with cutting, skidding, and decking of hazard trees. To the south, cutting is now complete, with skidding, processing, and decking expected to wrap up within the next two days. On FS Road 611, hazard tree removal is finished, and crews are now focused on road grading.

Additional efforts include hazard tree cutting along FS Road 219, as well as slash pile construction on Cape Royal Road and Point Imperial Road. In the Kaibab National Forest, work also continues along the Arizona National Scenic Trail, where crews are cutting hazard trees and clearing slash.
