Grand Canyon to hold community meeting on flood recovery, water supply

October 6, 2026

Grand Canyon Village residents and employees will have a chance Tuesday evening to hear directly from park leaders about two issues that have had a major impact on the community: flood recovery and the ongoing water situation.

According to Grand Canyon National Park, an All-Community Meeting will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Shrine of the Ages Auditorium.

Park officials said the meeting will provide the latest information on ongoing flood recovery, plans for repairing the water supply, water hauling and conservation efforts.

Those issues have become an important part of daily life for residents and employees as the park continues working to recover from recent flooding and address problems with its water infrastructure.

Community members will also have an opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from Grand Canyon National Park leadership about the work underway and what comes next.

Those unable to attend in person can watch the meeting through the park’s livestream.
