Message from the Grand Canyon School district

The PTA wants to extend our sincerest thanks to all who contributed to the Teacher Appreciation Week festivities!
We were happy to be able to celebrate the teachers and staff of Grand Canyon School during Teacher Appreciation Week. A huge thanks to Bill Sweeney for organizing the picnic, donating the burgers, and then doing all the grilling. We also owe grand thanks to Delaware North, We Cook Pizza, McDonalds, Xanterra, Will Howard and Nanacasia families for food donations, and to the families that brought desserts. Amy McBroom and the 2nd grade class were the ones who produced the lovely placemats used in the door decorations, and Cyndi Moreno provided us with the ants that infested the school buildings. Thanks also to wonderfully supportive parents Pam Edwards and Christine Kennedy who donated their time to help serve lunch as well as to assist in decorating. We also sincerely appreciate that Kerri and Alana Nelson, Libby Furry and kids, and Rory also joined us to decorate. We honestly couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help! Many, many thanks!
