The Tusayan Town Council is looking for ways to light Long Jim Loop Road between the Town Park and the Fireside Ridge apartment complex. As the park gains in usage, foot traffic is increasing and the Town Council wants to prevent any car pedestrian accidents.

The plan is to install standard residential roadway lighting. The Town is paying Arizona Public Service $2000 to do a study. The Town is also seeking the necessary easements to make the project happen. There is no word yet on final costs but Highway User Revenue Funds could be used.
