Power restored in Tusayan

November 29, 2019

Harsh weather delayed the restoration of power in Tusayan. Arizona Pubic Service says full power was restored just before 2am to Tusayan and the Grand Canyon Village. A total of 1466 households were without power due to the storm caused outage.

Crews worked much of yesterday to restore power but they were delayed by road condition, especially on Interstate 40 delaying the arrival of crews arriving from Flagstaff.

Mayor Craig Sanderson  declared a state of emergency for the Town and an emergency shelter was set up Friday night at the Albright training center.
