Candidates File for Tusayan Election

April 7, 2020

Two candidates have filed petitions to run for Mayor and four candidates have filed petitions to run for two open seats on the Tusayan Town Council.

Mayor Craig Sanderson is seeking re-election. He is being challenged by Red Feather Properties Manager Clarinda Vail.

Becky Wirth is seeking re-election. Longtime Councilmember Al Montoya is not seeking another term.

In addition to Wirth, the other three candidates seeking the two open seats are Tusayan Fire Chief Greg Brush, Josh Collet, and Charles Townsend.

The primary election is August 4th.  A runoff is possible in November if both candidates for mayor and three or more candidates in the council race fail to get more than 50% of the vote.
