From Tusayan Town Hall: NOTICE OF EXPIRATION OF MAYORAL PROCLOMATION DATED JULY 22, 2020 RELATING TO TEMPORARY MODIFICATION TO PERMITTED SIGNAGE EXPIRATION DATE APRIL 30, 2021
May 27, 2021
Please note that effective April 30, 2021 the temporary modification to the Town zoning code permitting additional signage options to businesses (due to the COVID emergency) will be expiring as can be found in the Mayoral proclamation of July 22, 2020 (attached herein).
Please be aware that this expiration may impact your business and you may need to return your signage to its “pre-proclamation” condition in the next few weeks. This will have the effect of returning the guidance for signage to our existing Town zoning code as it pertains to signage as found in the Town of Tusayan Zoning Code, Sections 16.0 thru 16.11 which can be found at the link below:

We are asking our Town businesses to remove their temporary sign(s) within the next 15 business days in order to come back into compliance with current regulations. After the May 21, 2021 grace period expires, the Town will need to remove any non-conforming signs from the business premises. Should your sign(s) be removed, you can contact the Town at 928-638-9909 and arrange to pick up your signs at one of our Town facility locations. However, you will not be able to display these temporary sign(s) again without going through the proper permitting process in the zoning code, We appreciate your voluntary compliance as we transition from the COVID restrictions of the past and attempt to return to a more normal business and tourism season going forward. Your understanding and compliance with this letter is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, you can call our planning and zoning administrator, Steven Bacs at 602-329-0929.
