Tusayan Celebrates The 4th of July
July 10, 2021
Live music, a parade, and a drone show were some of the highlights of Tusayan’s annual 4th of July celebration. The Grand Marshals for the parade were Jim and Lisa Coffey. West Wind Airlines took top honors for the best parade entry.
The drone show was a first for Tusayan as the town has been seeking creative, compelling night time displays that don’t pose a fire hazard.
The event was co-sponsored by the South Rim Grand Canyon Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Mayor Clarinda Vail thanked the chamber, bands, UAV Pro drone company, volunteers and participants who made the 4th of July events a great success. She said, “Many hands make lighter work for all and with the theme of this year's parade being: United We Stand, Our Grand Community I certainly saw it on full display. The work from local people, locals that grew up here and have moved but come back for this event and friends/family of locals was very special and you all help make our Community Grand.”
