112 people were vaccinated at the December 9th COVID Vaccination Clinic Pop-Up Site on Thursday, December 9. Because of the weather, the clinic was moved inside the Tusayan Fire Station.The event was co-hosted by Tusayan Fire and the Coconino County Health Department.

Tusayan has the second highest vaccination rate in the county at 73% according to Fire Chief Greg Brush.

Chief Brush said, "The vaccination event was at least double of what we had expected from public feedback and previous attendance!  TFD sincerely appreciates the fact that Tusayan and Grand Canyon residents take vaccinations to heart.  The local area has the second highest vaccination rate in Coconino County, second only to Page.  Thank you to everybody who participated, as well as the IMAX for providing food to the overworked vaccination team."
