Tusayan Swears In Mayor And Council

Tusayan Mayor Clarinda Vail has started her second term as Mayor as has Councilmember Greg Brush. Town Council newcomer Josh Collet has started his first term. All there were sworn in at a ceremony December 14th. The meeting also saw the departure of outgoing Tusayan Vice Mayor Brady Harris and Councilmember Robb Baldosky. Both were honored for their four years of service on the Tusayan Town Council.

Former Mayor Pete Shearer was honored for his work with the Community Garden among many other projects as well an Andrew Aldaz who has volunteered for numerous community projects and as Mayor Vail described Aldaz, “Someone has been very helpful in all things related to the Town especially with our community awareness group, at the park, and with so many things that help move our town forward.”

The ceremonies also honored Town Staff and longtime current Councilmember Becky Wirth and Councilmember/Fire Chief Greg Brush. The Fire Chief thanked Mayor Vail for treating the position “Like a full time job and making a lot of progress.”
