The Town of Tusayan has approved its budget for the upcoming fiscal year. It includes setting aside $500,000 for direct payments to residents. The town is also considering major expenditures for the sports complex and development of town owned parcels. While in the budget, those expenditures would still have to be approved by the Town Council. Some major capital improvements could be funded through municipal bonds. The council heard from a financial advisor specializing in bonds to outline the process.

Tusayan’s general fund revenues are estimated at about $8 million.
