Wildfire
As many of you are aware there is a fire burning several mile outside of town limits.  Fire Crews have responded.  It is our understanding that it was slowed way down due to the rain.  We will keep you posted via text and email with any required information.  For now please just stay in a state of readiness and listen for information.  There is no further action required at this time.

Community Awareness
This month’s community awareness meeting will include an opportunity to participate in the General Plan review process.  Our planners will be present with draft copies of our revised maps.  Please come in person to help review the maps and give input.

Business Licenses
Business Licenses were do at the end of June.  Please check and make sure you have renewed your license.  Our Code Enforcement team will start to check in on you to ensure that your license has been brought up to date.  A valid license is required to do business in the Town of Tusayan.

Flood Control
Coconino County Flood Control will be at the Town Council Meeting in August to give an update on flood mitigation progress.  They will also be visiting individual properties to discuss ways mitigation efforts specific to individual properties.  Please reach out if you would like to schedule a visit to your individual property. 

Summer Youth Program
Summer Youth Program is in fully swing at the Sports Complex.  They meeting Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Tuesday and Wednesday are from 11-1pm.  Thursday is field trip day.  This week the trip will be to Flagstaff.  Lunch is served each day.  Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions that you have.

Code Enforcement
Now that we are emerging from the Emergency Proclamation, Code Enforcement is trying to make sure that everyone is in uniform compliance across town.  You might receive a violation letter regarding certain housekeeping items.  Please reach out to us if you have any questions.  Our goal is to assist everyone with coming into compliance.
