Plans for Tusayan Sports Complex Taking Shape

October 1, 2024

The Tusayan Town Council was recently updated on Sports Complex plans being designed by Orcutt & Winslow, Michael Taylor Architects, and The Sports Facilities Companies.

Phase one for the 30-acre site would include multi-purpose fields for soccer and football, baseball and softball fields, track and field, an amphitheater, a mountain bike skills park, walking trails, fitness stations and more.

The cost would be $18 million to $23 million. The Town and the design team have held multiple public meetings on what residents would like to see and Tusayan has also surveyed residents.

Phase two would include a skate park, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, pickleball courts, a playground extension, upgraded basketball courts and a fitness center.

Phase two would cost between $21million and $26 million.
