Tusayan’s dark skies lit up with holiday cheer at the town’s Holiday Festival December 12th at the Tusayan Sports Complex. The party started around sundown with a visit from Santa, children’s gifts from the Town, children’s games including a giant snow globe, hot soup and hot chocolate, and holiday music.

The drone show began just after 6pm, as it concluded Mayor Clarinda Vail officially lit the tree and the holiday lights. (To view the entire drone show go ti the video section of the Watchdog website.)

Erica Marquez brought her family for the third year in a row, “I came here to be with the community. It’s a great place to come and hang out.” Thomas Bottroff brought relatives from Wisconsin, “It’s a wonderful time of the year, a great blessing… the community the fellowship and an overall good time.”

 “It was fun to see families, friends and neighbors gather to see the holiday lighting event, drone show, see Santa and celebrate the season.
