The Tusayan Town Council is expressing its thanks to the federal agencies that manage and protect federal lands surrounding the community.

The proclamation, approved on March 11th states in part:

"Proclaim that we stand in solidarity with our friends and partner agencies at the federal level. We acknowledge their work efforts and view it as integral to our survival."

Those agencies include the National Parks Service, the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management.
