News Release: Learn More About Airport Construction at Virtual Public Meeting May 29

Starting July 14, 2025, the Grand Canyon National Airport will kick off its Runway Rehabilitation Project to improve safety and bring the airfield up to the latest FAA standards to enhance safety and enhance its infrastructure.
Runway Closure Notice
In preparation for this project, there will be nightly closures from June 15 to July 14 (five nights a week). Taxiways A and B will be closed to all aircraft operations. More specific information on days and times will be provided once determined.
The Runway Rehabilitation Project will begin July 14. The airport will be closed to all fixed-wing aircraft from July 14 through August 10, 2025, while crews rehabilitate the runway, reconfigure taxiways, and update signage. Helicopter flights may still operate from the apron area. The airport will reopen for aircraft operations on August 11, 2025.
