Please join Tusayan Fire District at a public open house in support of the development of “A Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) for Rural Fire Districts and Tribal Communities in Coconino County.” This CWPP is the first of its kind for Coconino County. A collaborative partnership of stakeholders, led by the Greater Flagstaff Forests Partnership (GFFP), are taking proactive measures to reduce wildfire risk to rural communities and related critical infrastructure. The open house is an opportunity for the community to learn about the CWPP and provide comments to inform the CWPP’s development.

The meeting will take place on Wed., Oct. 1st from 4:30 – 6:30 PM at the Holiday Inn Resort the Squire at Grand Canyon (Navajo Room) at 74 State Route 64 Tusayan, AZ 86023. The open house will begin with a short presentation, and then you will be able to visit stations that will include displayed Information like how to Firewise your home. You’ll also be able to talk with staff from your fire department as well as subject matter experts from GFFP and Coconino County.
