With millions of dollars in federal grants and assistance available, The Town of Tusayan is plans to hire Nexxus Consulting. Town Manager Greg Clifton says the company has represented Coconino County and Flagstaff for many years with excellent results. Mayor Clarinda Vail recently met with representatives from Nexxus and was impressed. The Town Council will formally hire them in April. However, as a March 20th deadline looms for some federal grants, Nexxus has agreed to get to work early. Some of the projects that could receive federal assistance include an emergency alert system for major incidents such as floods.
