Tusayan Cinco de Mayo Draws More than 600 People

The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta held at the Squire Resort was a major success according to Town Manager Greg Clifton. Attendance was estimated at more than 600 people as the event featured Mariachi Music, Mexican Folklorico Dancing, and Mexican food.


Clifton said the event, sponsored by the Town of Tusayan, drew a record crowd. There are more events planned for the summer.
The Town will be hosting a Community Garden Clean-up on Friday, May 29th at 10am with pizza to be served at noon. It takes place at the Community Gardens (Sports Complex) for this event. There are still garden plots available (sign-up form is at Town Hall). Click here for details.
The Town is now planning for this year’s 4th of July event. The Town has just secured the parade permit from the State Dept of Transportation. This year's theme will be:250 Years of Freedom, 100 Years of the Mother Road! Parade entry permits are now available at Town Hall and on the Town's website.
The Town will also be hosting this year's Summer Youth Program, in conjunction with the Grand Canyon Unified School District, set to occur on the following Wednesdays and Thursdays in July:
July 8th and 9th
July 15th and 16th
July 22nd and 23rd
